2015-2016 AdvancED Survey Results for Lee Woodard Elementary School


The results from our parent, staff and student surveys were given during our Open House on August 20, 2015 are as follows:

Our parent survey Standard 1: Purpose and direction and Standard 5: Using Results for Continuous Improvement had the highest level of stratification of 4.32. Our staff and students surveys both showed the highest level of satisfaction in Standard 2: Governance and Leadership with an average of 3.92.

According to trends, Lee Woodard Elementary parent surveys increased in Standard 2: Governance and Leadership with an average of 4.16. The staff survey showed a trend increase in Standard 3: Teaching & Assessing Learning with an average 3.56. The student survey showed a trend increase in Standard 4: Resources and Support Systems 2.86.

Our lowest level of satisfaction with our parent surveys was Standard 2: Governance and Leadership with an average of 4.16. The staff survey lowest level of satisfaction was Standard 4: Resources and Support Systems with an average of 3.5. The overall lowest level of satisfaction for the students surveys was standard 5: Using Results for Continuous Improvement with an average of 2.77.

Our parent surveys showed a decreasing trend in a school's governing body does not interfere with the operation or leadership of our school. Our teacher survey showed a decreasing trend in staff members providing peer coaching to teachers. Our student surveys showed a trend in decrease in asking family members to come to school activities.

According, to the North Carolina Teacher Working Conditions Survey and our advanced staff survey both were consistent in the area of school leadership using data to drive instruction in the classroom. Also, professional development opportunities being aligned to school improvement plans were consistent in both feedback sources.
